There are many opportunities for fellowship at Christ Presbyterian Church. In addition to many after church brunches, there are numerous activities which include different groups within the church. (see Events)
Adult Forums
These adult learning opportunities are periodically scheduled for the hour following Sunday Worship and address diverse topics such as providing wells and latrines in rural Nicaragua to a local mission addressing the needs of homeless men. For example we recently had a presentation on how to become greener through careful choice of light bulbs.
Periodically Christ Presbyterian Church runs or sponsors seminars and workshops in different areas. In the spring of 2010 we started a series on the 12 Step Program followed by many who are making changes in their lives. This program has continued into 2011 with a group meeting weekly in the spring and a new group doing a 12 Step Approach to Bible study starting October 2, 2011 which meets monthly on the first Sunday of the month.
Seminars/Workshops
Book Group
During Lent in 2011 the Book Group read and discussed Erik Kolbell's Were You There? Finding Ourselves at the Foot of the Cross.
In this book Kolbell paints the Passion story through the voices of those who were witness to Jesus' predicament, from the disciples who followed Jesus daily to the high priests who spoke falsely against Jesus. Through brief anecdotes and vignettes, Kolbell shared with us the great range of human response available to us as we prepared our hearts and minds to explore God's first act of love in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Summer reading for 2011 was Richard Rohr's Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life a fresh way of thinking about spirituality that grows throughout life.

In December 2011 our Advent devotional study was from Shane Claiborne's inspirational and challenging story of being an "ordinary radical" for Christ, The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical.

The Lenten Book Study for 2012 was Martha Grace Reese's book Unbinding Your Soul.
Other activities include theater trips, Fifth Friday movie nights, Taizé worship, and outings to the ball park.
